While working at Grosvenor casinos I had the opportunity to work on some concept mock-ups for their signature poker tournament ‘Goliath’, as well as floating ideas for some other potential tournaments, along with supporting branding.

The brand character called ‘Sharky’ was beginning to look very dated and amateurish in appearance. I saw this as a fantastic opportunity to bring the brand forward with a new stylish, edgy, attractive character that would have the potential for further development.

The characters inspiration was a mix of James Bond, the dapper gentleman and the coolness under pressure that elite poker payers portray. The character is larger than life, a winner to be admired and someone that people could aspire to.
